In 2009 Let the Word Of God Go Forth and Heal You

Jan 7th Daily Online Bible Study.

Today we look into the scripture and the scripture of the day is Mathew 8: 1-3

Large Crowds followed Jesus as he came down the hillside.
Look! A leper is approaching. He kneels before him worshiping. “Sir,” the leper pleads, “If you want to,

you can heal me.”

Jesus touches the man. “I want to,” he says, “be healed.” And instantly the leprosy disappears.

Today’s Online Bible Study from the Living Bible is Isaiah 53: 1-11

Today’s Online Bible Study from the Living Bible is Isaiah 53: 1-11

But, Oh, How few believe it! Who will listen? To whom will God reveal his saving power? In God’s eyes he was like a tender green shoot sprouting from a root in dry and sterile ground. But in our eyes there was no attractiveness at all, nothing to make us want him. We despised him and rejected him—A man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised and we didn’t care.

Yet it was our grief he bore our sorrows that weighed him down, and we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, for his own sins! But he was wounded and bruised for our sins. He was chastised that we might have peace, he was lashed—and we were healed! We are the ones who stayed away like shee! We, who left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us!
He was oppressed and he was afflicted yet he never said a word. He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as  a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so he stood silent before the ones condemning him. From prison and trial they led him away to his death. But who among the people that day realized it was their sins that he was dying for—that he was suffering their punishment? He was buried like a criminal in a rich man’s grave; but he had done no wrong, and had never spoken an evil word.

Yet it was the Lord’s good plan to bruise him and fill him with grief. But when his soul had been made an offering for sin, then he shall have a multitude of children, many heirs. He shall live again and God’s program shall prosper in his hands. And when he sees all that is accomplished by the anguish of his soul, he shall be satisfied, and because of what he has experienced, my righteous Servant shall make many to be counted righteous before God, for he shall bear all their sins.

Sam’s Response.

So Through The Living Word We May Be Changed.

The bible is given to us and the sacrifice that Jesus made is given so that we may be changed to become righteous and to fellowship with the Lord. How mighty is Jesus on the cross as he went there for YOU. To take all our sin and say…”It’s ok, I understand the extreme sin that is here and I know you will not be able to walk without sin, so I am going to sacrifice my son, Jesus, and through your belief in Jesus, you can be renewed.

There is diseases today, like cancer, that sometimes cannot be healed by man. In the Day that Jesus walked the earth, we see that Leprosy is a disease that if you got, you were destined to be an outcast and die. Yet the healing power of Jesus washed over the man and the leprosy disappeared. Praise God for this power that is beyond human understanding.

There is only one hope for you….His name is Jesus.

Sin is not going away, it is increasing in these last days. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to see how sin is increasing. Just turn on your television and there is sin being broadcasted 24/7.

The beauty of Jesus is when we ask him to guide our lives, our sin is forgiven. He wipes the slate and says “I Love You So much that I will not hold your sin against you!” This is amazing and marvelous news.
We see in the scripture of the day that Jesus makes the announcement and says… “I want to,” he says, “be healed.” And instantly the leprosy disappears. The leper met Jesus  and God and believed. Jesus was all he wanted, everything else was secondary.

Where are you with your faith?

Is Jesus the focal point of your life?

Do you give him the first of your day?

Do you tithe a tenth of your income as God desires?

Go ahead and give him your first! Go ahead and tithe!

Watch God Pour out into your life!

God is faithful and Loves You. Let God Know that You Love him too!

But during the night he got up and wakened his 2 wives and this 2 concubines and eleven children, and took them across the Jordan River at the Jabbok ford, then returned again to the camp and was there alone; and a Man wrestled with him until dawn. And when the Man saw he couldn’t win the match, he struck Jacob’s him, and knocked it out of joint at the socket.

Then the Man said, “Let me go, for it is dawn.”

But Jacob panted, “I will not let you go until you bles me.”

“What is your name?” the Man asked

“Jacob,” was the reply.

“It isn’t anymore!” the Man told him. “It is Israel—One who has power with God. Because you have been strong with God, you shall prevail with men.”

“What is your name?” Jacob asked him.

“NO, you mustn’t ask,” the Man told him. And he blessed him there.

Jacob named the place “Peniel” (“The Face of God”), for he said, “I have seen God face to face, and yet my life is spared.” The sun rose as he started on, and he was limping because of his hip. )(That is why the people of Israel still do not eat the sciatic muscle where it attaches to the hip.)

Gen 33

Then, far in the distance, Jacob saw Esau coming with his 400 men. Jacob now arranged his family in a column, and his 2 concubines and their children the head, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last. Then Jacob went on ahead. As he approached his brother he bowed low seven times before him. And then Esau ran to meet him and embraced him affectionately and kissed him; and both of them were in tears!

Then Esau looked at the women and children and asked, “Who are these people with  you?”

“My children, ” Jacob replied. Then the concubines came forward with their children, and bowed low before him. Next came Leah with her children, and bowed, and finally Rachel and Joseph came and made their bows.

“And, what were all the flocks and herds I met as I came?” Esau asked.

And Jacob replied, They are my gifts, to curry your favor!”

“Brother, I have plenty,” Esau laughed. “Keep what you have.”

“No, but please accept them,” Jacob said, “For what a relief it is to see your friendly smile! I was as frightened of you as though approaching God! Please take my gifts. For God has been very generous to me and I have enough.” So Jacob insisted and finally Esau accepted them.
