What Chance Will The Godless Have?

Word of God Online From The Living Bible

1 Peter 4  verse 18

If the righteous are barely saved, what chance will the Godless have?

As we go through our Christian walk, we are called to mature as Christians and to move towards begin more Christ like. This is serious work and comes with consequences and trials almost every step of the way. Our faith needs to be refined like Gold. But our value to God is much more than any stockpile of gold. Do you believe that?

One of the biggest calls we have as Christians is to walk in Love. It is so evident in our world today that there is a serious lack of this love for one another. Last night when I was driving home late at night, I came to a toll booth, it was around 1am in the morning in Maine (not alot of traffic in my neck of the woods at 1 am). And some guy had made the mistake of going in a closed lane when going through the toll booth. As I pulled up to the lady to give her my toll, the man in the car who had gone through the wrong one, was walking over to pay the lady his toll. Instead of her taking the money, she told him to get back in his car and back up and go through a lane that was open and then looked at me and rolled her eyes like as if to say…”What an idiot!”…Being called a fool or idiot is one of the worst things we can call someone.

The Holy spirit rose up in me, and I did not listen or follow the instructions to tell this woman to walk in love. I knew I should of 10 seconds after pulling out, I had missed an opportunity to share my love with her. These little opportunities rise up each and every day. As Christians we are called to love one another, and I am not talking about just Christians loving Christians….

1 Peter 4 ..Vs 7… The End of the world is coming soon. Therefore be earnest, thoughful men of prayer. MOST IMPORTANT of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults.

WOW…the importance of Love in our lives…

It goes on to say…

Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay for the night. (don’t think he is talking about friends that live around us)

We, as Christians are called to love and love deeply all people. When I saw this woman last night be harsh to the man who was trying to do the right thing, it really made me sad.

What Chance will the Godless Have?

It is heartbreaking that many do not know or purposely push God out of their lives and ignore what is inevitable. We will all stand before God and be judged for how we have lived our lives.

Remember, we are Christians and we are barely saved. What Chance will the Godless have?

So how do we deal with this as Christians? How can we help?

We walk in Love!  We model love in a loveless life and surroundings. We bring light into our day where darkness prevails. We are the warriors of Christ who  bear the burden of the cross with Christ. We take up our cross and mature as Christians to become more Christ like and walk in Love in all situations we face. We must show and exult GOD in our lives if others are to see us as “Different”.

The World has its ways, and there is no question the world is spinning out of control. We have a chance to shine amongst the Godless and walk in love and mercy and kindness.

Remember to Walk in Love in all situations, This love from God will never fail you!

Scripture verse of the day first Corinthians 14:1

let love be your greatest aim: nevertheless, also asked for the special abilities the Holy Spirit gives especially the gift of prophecy, being able to preach the messages of God.

Scripture reading of the day from the living Bible first Corinthians 13

if I had the gift of being able to speak in other languages without learning them, and could speak in every language there is in all of heaven and earth, but didn’t love others, I would simply be making a noise. If I had the gift of prophecy and knew all about what is going to happen in the future, knew everything about everything, but didn’t love others, what good would it do? Even if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, I would still be worth nothing at all without love. If I gave everything I have to the poor people, and I were burned alive for preaching the gospel, but didn’t love others, it would be of no value whatever.

Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irriatable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth winds its way. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground and defending him.

All the special gifts and powers from God will some day come to an end, but love goes on for ever. Someday prophecy, and speaking in unknown languages, and special knowledge — these gifts will disappear.

Now we know so little, even with our special gifts, and the inspired preaching of those most gifted is still so poor. But when we have made her perfect and complete, then the need for these inadequate special gifts will come to an end, and they will disappear.

It’s like this: when I was a child I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I became a man my thoughts grew far beyond those of my childhood, and now I have put away childish things.

In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at his reflection in the poor Mirror; but someday we are going to see him in his completeness, face to face. Now all that I know is hazy and blurred, but then I will see everything clearly, just as clearly as God sees in the my heart right now.

There are three things that remain — faith, hope and love — and the greatest of these is love.

Sam’s response

The above Scriptures probably one of the most famous Scriptures in the Bible as it is used to just about every wedding There is.

The last line of Scripture In Corinthians 13 states that Their are three things that we are to have and remain in us.Faith,Hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.

As a Christian and a person who is Working on becoming more like Christ there is no question that love is the overriding factor of all Scripture. To become more Christ like means to become more loving. Jesus would’ve never accomplished what he did without the love that he has for the father and for his people. God made the ultimate sacrifice for us based on love.He gave up his only son because he loved us so much.

It also says in the Bible that love conquers all. Do you believe that?

Sometimes we forget how much God really loves us, and when we forget it tends to rub off on how our love is displayed to others as well. If we are to be effective Christians and were going to have to be people who are loving others no matter what is going on around us. We must be people who stand above the noise of this world and the sin of this world and display love above all.

A major part of God’s plan is love. If we are to be part of God’s plan and we need to be people who love others as well. It’s easy to love somebody that is like us, but it is more difficult to love ones that annoy us irritate us.

People you love are going to disappoint you! What you do with it will be an indication of your love. Will you allow that love to overcome this injury towards yourself brought on by somebody else?

If we are to walk a path that is more Christ like and we need to allow this love to conquer all!

Today April 27t h 2009 Daily Bible Reading

From The Living Bible

Part 2 of Psalms 37

From Smith WigglesWorth’s Daily Devotion  ” He comes to enrapture our souls, to break every bond of mere human affection and replace in us the divine instead of the earthly, the pure instead of the unholy, the eyes of faith that see God Instead of the unholy, the eyes of faith that see God instead of human feelings. The Divine Son of God is to be in us, mightily moving through us, as we cease to be. This poverty of spirit spoken of in this Beatitude helps us.

God’s unlimited supply is available to each and everyone of us if we only believe. When we come to a place where we feast on the Word of God instead of Easy Mac and Cheese, we will see God move mightily in our lives. There is not end to God’s abounding grace and love for you and I.

He gave his son because he loved YOU. He did not want to see you perish but to have everlasting life that comes for the life giving spring of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Do not think that you have lack…You have all you need with God no matter WHAT your human eyes see. Look beyond your circumstance and see the Glory of God that rises above it all.

Let the Glory of the Lord Rise Among US
