Bible Study of Hebrews

By sam · Comments (0)
Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

Over the course of the upcoming weeks and months, I will be doing a specific walk through bible study of the book of Hebrews.

Hebrews and what is faithHebrews .. Let us Draw Near To God

The Overall theme behind Hebrews comes out of Hebrews 10: 19-23

And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the very holy of holies where God is, because of the blood of Jesus. This is the fresh, new, life-giving way which Christ has opened up for us by tearing the curtain – his human body – to let us into the holy presence of God. And since this great high priest of ours rules over God’s household, let us go right in, to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us, because we have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood and make us clean, because our bodies have been washed with pure water. Now we can look forward to the salvation God has promised us there is no longer any room for doubt, and we can tell others that salvation is ours. For there is no question that he will do what he says.

The Power of Forgiveness

The Power of Forgiveness In Life

Forgiveness a Key ingrediant to the Christian lifeWe are all alike, we are all sinners, each and every one of us. None of us have not sinned. We live in a world that permeates sin all around us. It is shown to us and encoraged on some levels to live a life that is full of sin.

You can not escape it, and niether can I.

God gave us the ability to choose, from little things to bigger things, we daily have choices we need to make.

One of those choices is forgiveness. You can choose to forgive others iniquities against you or you can choose to harbor those iniquities and be bitter or angry about how “they” have injured you and you will pay them back or walk in a state of anger or unforgiveness towards those indivisuals.

If you and I are to walk a life that is an example of Christ here on earth, then forgivenss is a topic we must comprehend and look to the scriptures to find what Jesus has said about it.

Matthew 18 starting in verse 21 from the living bible.

Every Knee Shall Bow Before Jesus and Make an Account

The Word of God Says EVERYONE Shall Bow Before Jesus and Confess Him as LORD

Every Knee Shall Bow Before JesusOne Day you and I will have to bow to our Lord Jesus Christ.  Everyone Shall bow before our Lord. Wheather you are a Christian, Muslim, Buddist, Jehovah Witness, Atheist, Agnostic as well as every other religion and non religion people. You will have to take account for your life. What choices you made and what directions you took.

This is not for a select few, as the Word of God says EVERYONE.

Let’s Look to the scriptures from the Living Bible for some insights into this

In Isaiah 45:23 from the Living Bible it says:

Let all the world look to me for salvation! For I am God; there is no other. I have sworn by myself and I will never go back on my word, for it is true—that EVERY kneww in all the WORLD shall bow to me, and every toungue shall swear allegiance to my name.

In Ezekiel 21:7 from the living bible:

When they ask you why, tell them : Because of the fearsome news that God has given me. When it comes true, the boldest heart will melt with fear, and all strength will disappear. Every spirit will faint; strong knees will tremble and become as weak as water. And the Lord God says YOUR doom is on the way; my judgements will be fulfilled!

Romans 14:11 From the Living Bible

For it is Written, “As I live,” Says the Lord, “every knee shall bow to me and every tongue confess to God.” Yes, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Philippians 2:9-11 From the Living Bible

Yes it was because of all of this that God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Scriptures above make something very clear. You and I will fall flat on our faces before Jesus Christ and will will not only account for our lives but we shall confess with our tongue that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.

He is the king of kings…the Lord of Lords…The one above every other. He is Jesus Christ the Son of God. Our Mediator

He is the one you will face…he is the Judge and Jury on where you will spend the rest of eternity in. He is the one that will see through directly to your heart and see what you are about.

Stir into flame the Strength and boldness that is in you

Word of God Online Presents the Living Bible and 2nd Timothy

Stir into flame the Strength and boldness that is in you

Second Timothy

From: Paul, Jesus Christ missionary, sent out by God to tell men and women everywhere about the eternal life he has promised them through faith in Jesus Christ.

To: Timothy, my dear son. May God the father and Jesus Christ our Lord shower you with his kindness, mercy and peace.

How I thank God for you, Timothy. I pray for you every day, and many times doing the long nights I begged my God to bless you richly. He is my father’s God, and mine, and my only purpose in life is to please him.

However long to see you again. How happy I would be, for I remember your tears as he left each other.

I know how much you trust the Lord, just as your mother, Eunice and your grandmother Lois do; and I feel sure you are still trusting him as much as ever.

This being so, I want to remind you to stir into flame the strength and boldness that is in you, that entered into you when I laid my hands upon your head and blessed you. for the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. If you will stir up this inner power, you will never be afraid to tell others about our Lord, or to let them know that I am your friend even though I am here in jail for Christ sake. You will be ready to suffer with me for the Lord, for he will give you strength and suffering.

It is he who saved us and chose us for his holy work, not because we deserved it but because that was his plan long before the world began – to show his love and kindness to us through Christ. And now he has made all this plane to us by the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ, who broke the power of death and showed us the way of everlasting life through trusting him. And God has chosen me to be his missionary, to preach to the Gentiles and teach them.

That is why I am suffering here in jail and I’m certainly not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to safely guard all that I have given him until the day of his return.

Hold tightly to the pattern of truth I taught you, especially concerning the faith and love Christ Jesus offers you. Guard well the splendid, God-given ability you received as a gift from the Holy Spirit lives within you.

As you know, all the Christians who came here from Asia have deserted me; even Phygellus and Hermogenes are gone. May the Lord bless Onesiphorus and all his family, because he visited me and encouraged me often. His visits revived me like a breath of fresh air, and he was never ashamed of my being in jail. In fact, when he came to Rome he searched everywhere trying to find me, and finally did. May the Lord give him a special blessing at the day of Christ return. And you know better than I can tell you how much he helped me at Ephesus.

The Daily Living Challenge As A Christian

Welcome to the word of God online and the Living Bible Online

The Daily Living Challenge As A Christian

First Thessalonians 4 from the living bible

Let me add this, dear brothers: you already know how to please God in your daily living, for you know the commands we gave you from the Lord Jesus himself. Now we beg you – yes, we demand of you in the name of the Lord Jesus – that you live more and more closely to that ideal. For God wants you to be holy and pure, and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of you will marry and holiness and honor – not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways.…

Verse nine

But concerning the pure brotherly love that there should be among God’s people, I do not need to say very much, I’m sure! For God himself is teaching you to love one another. Indeed, your love is already strong towards all the Christian Brothers throughout your whole nation. Even so, dear friends, we beg you to love them more and more. This should be your invention: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and doing your own work, just as we told you before.

As a result people who are not Christians will trust and respect you, and you will not need to depend on others for enough money to pay your bills.

———————————————————————————————————

As a Christian we are called to live in a different manner than the rest of the world. Today, there is no question, this presents a very challenging aspect to the Christian life. If we are to become more Christlike, and set an example to others, and we are to become more holy and pure, then there are things that you and I will need to do that will be very much different than those who are not walking and moving closer to Christ.

Psalms 76 From The Living Bible

By sam · Comments (0)
Monday, June 14th, 2010

Welcome to the Word of God Online

Today is June 14th 2010

Today’s Daily Bible reading is from Psalms 76

God’s Reputation is very great in Judah and in Israel. His home ins in Jerusalem. He lives upon Mount Zion. There he breaks the weapons of our enemies.

The Everlasting mountains cannot compare with you in glory!

The mightiest of our enemies are conquered. They lie before us in the sleep of death; not one can lift a hand against us. When you rebuke them. God of Jacob, steeds and riders fell. No wonder you are greatly feared! Who can stand before an angry God? You pronounce Sentence on them from heaven; the earth trembles and stands silently before you. You stand up to punish the evil doers and to defend the meek of the earth. Man’s futile wrath will bring you glory. You will use it as an ornament!

Fulfill all your vows that you have made to Jehovah your God. Let everyone bring him presents. he should be reverenced and feared, for he cuts down princes and does awesome things to the kings of the earth.
