Scripture verse of the day second Corinthians 3:9 if the plan that leads to doom was glorious, much more glorious is the plan that makes men right with God.

Scripture readings from the living Bible

The Living Bible

Scripture reading of the day Psalm 11

how dare you tell me, “flee to the mountains for safety,” when I am trusting in the Lord?

For the wicked have strong their bows, drawn the arrows tight against the bow strings, and aimed from ambush at the people of God.

“Law and order have collapsed,” we are told “what can the righteous do but flee?”

But the Lord is still in his heavenly temple; he still rules from heaven. He closely watches everything that happens here in Earth. He puts the righteous and the wicked to the test; he hates those loving violence. He will rain down fire and brimstone on the wicked and scorch them with his burning wind.

For God is good, and he loves goodness; the godly shall see his face.

Sam’s response

Outward appearanceso many TV shows, and so much focus today is placed upon the outward appearance of how we look. Fancy clothes, cool cars, white teeth, expensive sunglasses, being super thin, and more, are all focused around the outward appearance of who we are.

But that is not what God looks at when he looks at you and I. We should be much more concerned about our heart then how we look. What is going on inside of us is going to be the reflection of what is going on outside of us.God Looks at the Heart

There is nothing more beautiful than righteousness!

One of the killers of righteousness is condemnation. Condemnation will steal your joy and make you question your righteousness. If the Bible is the plumbline of your life, then you must understand that there is no condemnation in Christ. The Bible says it therefore it is.

Striving to be more like Christ is God’s desire for you and I. If that’s the case, we must also strive to believe what the Bible says and walk it out in our life. When we face difficult situations and we do not have the answers, we can always look to the holy Bible and to the word of God to help us with any difficulty that we face.

When we are trusting God there’s no reason to flee to the mountain.

Welcome to the word of God online

Scripture verse of the day Ephesians 4:8 the Psalmist tells about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after his resurrection and victory over Satan, he gave generous gifts to men.

Scripture reading of the day first Thessalonians 4:1 — 12

let me add this, dear brothers: you already know how to please God in your daily living, for you know the commands we gave you from the Lord Jesus himself. Now we beg you — yes, we demand of you in the name of the Lord Jesus — that you live more and more closely to that ideal. For God wants you to be holy and pure, and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness and honor — not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways.

And this also is God’s will: that you never cheat in this matter by taking another man’s wife, because the Lord will punish you terribly for this as we have solemnly told you before. God has not called us to be dirty-minded and full of lust, but to be holy and clean. If anyone refuses to live by these rules he is not disobeying the rules of men of God who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

But concerning the pure brotherly love that there should be among God’s people, I don’t need to say very much, I’m sure! For God himself is teaching you to love one another. Indeed, your love is already strong towards all the Christian brothers throughout your whole nation. Even so, dear friends, we beg you to love them more and more. This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and doing your own work, just as we told you before.

As a result, people who are not Christians will trust and respect you, and you will not need to depend on others for enough money to pay your bills

Sam’s response

when we are in Christ we can replace the but and if’s in our lives with God’s command of shall and will. All of us have weaknesses that can only be perfected through Christ.

Living a godly life requires recognition of our brokenness and our sin. We must be willing to turn this over to God into allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to develop more Christ like character.

Yes, God has gifts for you and I that he is waiting to bestow upon us, but if we deny the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are denying God, and we are denying the opportunity to receive those gifts.

In reading Smith Wigglesworth today, he says “you must decide some things. If you are not baptized, you must seek the baptism of the Spirit of God. And if there is anything that is marred the fruit or interfered with all of his plan, I implore you to let the blood so cover, let the anointing of Christ so come, let the vision of Christ be so seen, that you will have a measure that will take all of that God has for you.”

God does perfect his people… he wants us to move beyond where we are at and move closer to Christ likeness.

The first step of this is to recognize that none of us are free from sin and weaknesses in our life that tempt us and pulls away from God.

Bring your sin and weakness to the foot of the cross and give it to God. Ask him to take away any thoughts or desires that are not pure and holy.

Word of God is Back Online After Cyber Attack

By sam · Comments (0)
Monday, July 13th, 2009

Well, after a week of the site going up and down, Today we finally were able to clear out the hack attack that hit this site over the last 2 weeks.

Cyber attacks on lots of sites have been happening, and we got hit too.

It was very discouraging but we worked through the technical issues and we got the site back online and clean today. Google had actually quarantined the site yesterday and today so we had to go through several hoops to repair the site.

But as of tonight I am happy to annouce the site is clean of the malicious code, and all is good.

Thank you to Ernie who alerted me about this. Ernie is a regular reader here at the Word of God Online and was gracious enough to email me. Thanks Ernie.

We will get back to our daily scripture readings in the morning.

God Bless You

Sam

Daily Scripture Verse of the Day

Acts 3:12 Peter saw his opportunity and addressed teh crowd, “Men of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why look at us as though we by our own power and godliness had made this man walk?

Daily Scripture Reading of The Day

Acts 3 2-26

As they approached the Temple, they saw a man who had been lame from birth being carried along the street and laid beside the Temple gate – as was his custom every day.  As Peter and John were passing by, he asked them for some money.

They looked at him intently, and then Peter said, “look at us!”

The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting a gift from this us.

But Peter said, “we don’t have any money for you.  I’ll give you what I have.  I command you in the name of the Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!”

Then Peter took the lame man by the hand and pulled him to his feet, and as he did so, the man’s feet and ankle bones were healed and strengthened so that he came up with a leap, stood there a moment and began walking!  Then, walking, leaping and praising God, he went into the temple with them.

When the people inside saw him walking and heard him praising God, and realized he was the lame man they had seen so often at the beautiful gate, they were amazed.

They all rushed out to Solomon’s  Hall, where he was holding tightly to Peter and John.  Everyone stood their astonished at the wonderful thing that had happened.

Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd.  “Men of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this!  And why look at us as though we, by our own power in godliness, had made this man walk? For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and of all our ancestors who had brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this.  I refer to the Jesus whom you rejected before Pilate, despite Pilates’s determination to release him.  You didn’t want him freed – this holy, righteous one.  Instead you demanded the release of a murderer.  And you killed the author of life; but God brought him back to life again.  And John and I are witnesses of this fact, after you killed him we saw him alive!

Jesus’ name has healed this man – and you know how lame he was before.  Faith in Jesus’ name – has given us from God – has caused the perfect healing.

“Dear brothers, I realize that what you did to Jesus was done in ignorance; and the same can be said of your leaders.  But God was fulfilling the prophecies that the Messiah must suffer all these things.  Now change your mind and attitudes and turned to him so that he can cleanse away your sins and send you wonderful things of refreshment from the presence of the Lord and send Jesus your Messiah back to you again.  For he must remain in heaven until the final recovery of all things from sin, as prophesized from ancient times.  Moses, for instance, said long ago, the Lord God will raise up the prophet among you who  will resemble me. Listen carefully to everything he tells you.  Anyone who will not listen to him shall be utterly destroyed.

Samuel and every prophet sent have all spoken about what is going on today.  You are the children of those profits; and you are included in God’s promise to your ancestors to bless the entire world through the Jewish race – that is the promise God gave to Abraham.  And as soon as God had brought his servant to life again, he sent him first of all to you men of Israel, the bless you by turning your back from your sins

Word of God Online Presents The Living Bible Video Series

Pray For wisdomScripture Verse of The Day

Philippians: 2 14-15

In Everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of people who are crooked and stubborn. Shine out among them like beacon lights, holding out to them the Word of life.

Scripture Reading of The Day

So don’t be misled, dear brothers.

But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow. And it was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives, through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family.

Dear brothers, don’t ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry.; for anger doesn’t make us good, as God demands that we must be.

So get rid of all that is wrong in your life. both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts.
