Word of God Online Presents The Living Bible Video Series

Pray For wisdomScripture Verse of The Day

Philippians: 2 14-15

In Everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of people who are crooked and stubborn. Shine out among them like beacon lights, holding out to them the Word of life.

Scripture Reading of The Day

So don’t be misled, dear brothers.

But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow. And it was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives, through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family.

Dear brothers, don’t ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry.; for anger doesn’t make us good, as God demands that we must be.

So get rid of all that is wrong in your life. both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts.

Scripture Verse of the day

Peter Finally realized what had happened! “It’s Really True!” He said to himself. “The lord has sent his angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jews were hoping to do to me!” After a little thought he went to the home of Mary, mother of John Mark, Where many were gathered for a prayer meeting.

Daily Online Scripture Verse of the Day

1 Peter 2:2 Now that you realize how kind the lord has been to you, put away all evil, deception, envy and fraud. Long to grow up into the fullness of your salvation; cry for this as a baby cries for his milk.

Daily Online Scripture Reading of the Day.

1 Peter 1;13-2:5

They were finally told that these things would not occur during their lifetimes, but long years later, during yours. And now at last this Good News has been plainly announced to all of us. It was preached to us in the power of the same heaven-sent Holy Spirit who spoke to them; and it is all so strange and wonderful that even the angels in heaven would give a great deal to know more about it. So now you can look forward soberly and intelligently to more of God’s kindness to you when Jesus Christ returns.

Obey God because you are his children; don’t slip back into your old ways—doing evil because you knew no better. But be holy now in everything you do, just as the Lord is holy, who invited you to be his child. He himself has said, “You must be holy, for I am holy.”

And remember that your heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges. He will judge you with perfect justice for everything you do; so act in reverent fear of him from now on until you get to heaven. God paid a ransom to save you from the impossible road to heaven which your fathers tried to take, and the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver, as you very well know. But he paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lam of God. God chose him for this purpose long before the world began, but only recently was he brought into public view, in these last days, as a blessing to you.

Because of this, your trust can be in God who raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory. Now your faith and hope can rest in him alone. Now you can have real love for everyone because your souls have been cleansed from selfishness and hatred when you trusted Christ to save you; so see to it that you really do love each other warmly, with all your hearts.

For you have a new life. It was not passed on to you from your parents, for the life they gave you will fade away. This new one will last forever, for it comes from Christ, God’s ever-living Message to me.

Yes, our natural lives will fade as grass does when it becomes all brown and dry. All our greatness is like a flower that droops and fall; but the Word of the Lord will last forever. And his message is the Good News that was preached to you.

So Get rid of your feelings of hatred. Don’t just pretend to be good! Be done with dishonesty, and jealousy, and talking about others behind their backs. Now that you realize how kind the Lord has been to you, put away all evil, deception, envy and fraud. Long to grow up into the fullness of your salvation; cry for this as a baby cries for his milk. Come to Christ, who is the living foundation of Rock upon which God builds; though men have spurned him, he is very precious to God who has chosen him above all others.

And now you have become living building-stones For God’s use in building his house. What’s more, you are his holy priests; so come to him—[you who are acceptable to him because of Jesus Christ]—and offer to God those things that please him.

Sam’s Response…

Well I have some bad news if you decide to look at it that way….

Many preachers have been interpreted that our God is a banker who is ready to make your life a piece of cake so you can live on easy street.

Easy Street comes in heaven…In the meantime, we are to move each day closer to Christ. In my own walk I have come to realize that if I am not engaged in the Word daily, then I am slipping away from Christ. It is NOT God’s plan that we be saved and that’s it. There is more work to be done. There are many people who are seeking, broken, distraught with their lives and need the Good News That Jesus came for.

The Price Christ paid was for YOURS and My Sin.

The fact is if you are really to be transformed by the Word of God, then you will definitely run into a lot of resistance and hard times. The Devil does NOT want you moving closer to Christ, because if you do, then you can be used by Christ to win souls. So as you go through your walk with Christ, be aware that just because you gave your life to Christ, does not mean all will go well. Actually you may find it is a very difficult path to follow.  Satan will do everything in his power to take you away. But you know that Jesus came to destroy the power of Satan, and after 3 days he rose again and conquered Death once and for all. He bore all our sins at the cross so that we, as sinners, can choose Christ, and be transformed.

As we near the end of this time on earth, God has said that sin will increase and start to almost spin out of control. I believe we are in the final days as of Jan 15th 2009. I do not say this to scare you, but I say it to make you aware. Aware to understand that sin is rapidly increasing…it is all around us and it is trying to pull us down. To take us away from Jesus.

You are moving in one direction or the other. Which will you choose?

My pastor have a sermon about 2 months ago and had this diagram that explained what I am trying to say here…You are either moving Towards Christ or you are moving away. Watch your step carefully. In the above Scripture God calls us to not fall back to your old ways. So stand firm and keep the word in your heart and mind all day long. Do not let a day go by without praising God. Even if you are in the midst of difficult times, still praise him. This time is short compared to eternity that we have to look forward to. All these problems we see around us will soon disappear. Live above the problems and Live with Christ in you. Dive into his Holy Word So that you may stand firm when you are attacked by Satan. It is coming, it is waiting outside your door. It says  the devil came to devour and destroy man.

But it also says when you stand on the Word, you can defeat all the wiles of the devil and he shall flee.

Again, what direction are you moving today?

Are you buying into the lie, or speaking and absorbing the truth?

What Part of The Body Of Christ Are You?

Scripture Verse of the day

Ephesians 4: 11-13

Some of us have been given special ability as apostles; to others he has given the gift of being able to preach well; some have special ability in winning people to Christ, helping them to trust him as their Savior; still others have a gift for caring for God’s people as a Sheppard does his sheep, leading and teaching them in the ways of God.

Why is it that he gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God’s people will be equipped to do better work for him, building up the church, the body of Christ, to a position on strength and maturity; until finally we al believe alike about our salvation and about out Savior, God’s Son, and all become full-grown in the Lord, –Yes, to the point of being filled full with Christ.

Scripture of the day

Philippians 3:20-21

But Our Homeland is in heaven, where are Savior the Lord Jesus Christ is; and we are looking forward to his return from there. When he comes back he will take these dying bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer all else everywhere.

Scripture reading of the Day

Matthew 4:15-25

The Land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, beside the Lake, and the countryside beyond the Jordan River, and Upper Galilee where so many foreigners live—there the people who sat in darkness have seen a great Light; they sat in the land of death, and the Light broke through upon them.

From then on, Jesus began to preach, “Turn from sin, and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

One day as he was walking along the beach beside the Lake of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—out in a boat fishing with a net, for they were commercial fishermen.

Jesus called out, “Come along with me and I will show you how to fish for the souls of men!” And they left the nets at once and went with him.

A little farther up the beach he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets; and he called to them to come too. At once they stopped their work and, leaving their father behind, went with him.

Jesus traveled all through Galilee teaching in the Jewish synagogues, everywhere preaching the Good News about the Kingdom of Heaven. And he healed every kind of sickness and disease. The report of his miracles spread far beyond the borders of Galilee so that sick folk were soon coming to be healed from as far away as Syria. And whatever their illness and pain, or if they were possessed by demons, or were insane, or paralyzed—he healed them all. Enormous crowds followed him wherever he went—people from Galilee, and the Ten cities, and Jerusalem, and from all over Judea, and even from across the Jordan River.

Sam’s Response….

God is with the person who dares to stand upon his Word.

When we come to Christ and we are his, Jesus said he would send another. The another is the Holy Spirit who lives within us. The Holy Spirit Convicts of our Sin. We know when sin is upon us as the spirit of God that lives within us does not want us to go on sinning. I have found this to be so true in my life. What I used to do before Christ, I cannot do without the knowledge that I am in the wrong place doing the wrong thing.

This is a gift from God, the Holy Spirit is the most mighty gift we can receive. Do not deny yourself of this.

God may be dealing with you now as you read this. For each of us he reveals his truth at his timetable.

The Story above about the Miraculous healings of Jesus are amazing to read.  What sticks out to me is that Jesus healed EVERY sickness and disease. This is amazing because he also promised we would do even greater miracles in his name when we call upon the name of Jesus.

It says in Acts (1:8) “You shall receive power hen the Holy Spirit has come upon you”

Lord, I invite the Holy Spirit to come into me and be my guide. To be my light. To send  me upon the path upon which you have called me. And I pray for every person who is reading this that you would convict them of any sin they need to get rid of and turn it over to you. We shall bring them before you at the foot of the cross, where we can lay all our burdens down.
