Dealing with Addictions and No condemnation in Christ
Don’t be fooled into thinking that you are not subjective to addictions. Even if you do not think you have a personal addiction, you know someone who does.
Addictions are rampart in our society and affect all of us. If we are to really be honest with ourselves, we need to repent and realize that we are all tempted and fall under the sin that is in this world.
It can take many forms and is not defined within the box of Drugs, alcohol and gambling. It goes way beyond that and if you don’t think you have one, then as our pastor said today, then you are most likely dealing with one of the worst one of all….Pride
Pride runs deep and calls us all to become a part of it. I was talking to a Christian brother today and he spoke of the need for recognition. We all want to feel that we are contributing and most of us would like or desire to be recognized for what we do.
This need or pride is within us all and our ability to minister to others and be replaced by pride.
God does not want us to be prideful and we do not need to store up our treasures here. This is not our home.
We have much to look forward to and we also do not need to fear anything here. Nothing!
Honesty and sharing are critical to our development and our ability to move forward in the Kingdom.
So be honest about who you are and seek others that are willing to walk this thing out with you.
We find ourseveles caught between generations and changing times. Let us not walk in the spirit of condemnation for what we do. Let us bring it before the Lord and lay it down at the foot of the cross. God will take all our infirmities and wash us clean with the blood of Christ.
Christ is the spotless lamb that we desire to become.
To walk in theĀ fullness of Christ….to become more Christlike in all we do.
Do not let a day go by when you do notĀ praise the Lord for who he is and what he had done for us. This gift of salvation is amazing and redemptive.
We only need to bring our addictions into the light and ask God to take them away. When we ask with a heart that desires to be spotless, God will redeem us and wash us clean.
May God quicken your spirit and wash you clean today and everyday of your life.
May the peace of Christ fill your heart and allow you to be and to shine with the Glory of God as you walk through your day!
Glory To God!
Peace be with you!
