Scripture Verse of The Day
Philippians: 2 14-15
In Everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of people who are crooked and stubborn. Shine out among them like beacon lights, holding out to them the Word of life.
Scripture Reading of The Day
So don’t be misled, dear brothers.
But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow. And it was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives, through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family.
Dear brothers, don’t ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry.; for anger doesn’t make us good, as God demands that we must be.
So get rid of all that is wrong in your life. both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts.
And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. SO don’t fool yourselves. For if a person just listens and doesn’t take obey, he is like a man looking at hsi face in a mirrow, as soon as he walks away, he can’t see himself anymore or remember what he looks like. But if anyone keeps looking steadily into God’s law for free men, he will not only remember it but he will do what it says, and God will greatly bless him in everything he does.
Anyone who says he is a Christian but doesn’t control his sharp tongue is just fooling himself, and his religion isn’t worth much. The Christian who is pure and without fault, from God the Father’s point of view, is the one who takes care of orphans and widows, and who remains true to the Lord—Not soiled and dirtied by his contacts with the world.

Sam’s Response
What an Open Door we have if we will only believe Him!
I remember when my son was in the 7th Grade and really struggling with not only who he was, but he was not doing well in school. We need to be educated, and although I do not agree with everything children are being taught today in the school systems, I do know that grabbing hold of what is taught can lead to open doors.
I was sitting with him and trying to explain the value of education by pointing out to him that you can look at education as a series of doors. I pointed to the wall, and said, “Imagine on that wall there is a whole line of doors available to walk through. As you gain in wisdom and knowledge, more doors will appear before you. But if you choose to not press in and learn what is before you, then one by one those doors will disappear and you will be left with few choices in life and few doors. Opportunity will be slimmer if you do not gain a good education. Maybe you will have just a few doors to walk through and you may not like what is on the other side.”
This impacted him and he has held on to that image. I am proud to say he is not only going to get a high school education, but he wants to go on to college and knows the value of a good education. Last night he was up till 3:30 am working on a writing assignment from his first college class. That folks, is a blessing from God that he wants to learn.
Jesus declared….”He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” John 14:12.
Sometimes my own doubts get the best of me, and this scripture above is one that at times I doubt. Jesus did miraculous healings of all he desired to heal. There is story after story of what he did, casting out demons in the name of the Father, healing Lepers, healing the blind, and many many more that I have at times just not believed that “He who believes in Me, The works that I do he will do also.”
Prayer
God, Your promises are promises that we can take to the bank, if we only believe. Lord I ask you to continually increase my faith and belief daily. I come to you with open arms and asking for revelation of your Word. Nothing is more important to me, then loving you..knowing you…worshipping you…and wanting to be a man who can stand upon your word and never waiver no matter what comes my way. I thank you for the transformation of not only myself so far in 2009, but also for the transformation of my son, my daughter and my wife. Bless them all and show favor in all that they do and let them know that you are in control of all of this, including the path and calling that you have for each of us.
In Jesus’ name we pray…Amen
