Scripture Verse of the Day
Psalms 103:3 He forgives all my sins. He heals me.
Scripture Reading of the Day
Psalms 103
I bless the holy name of God with all my heart. Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins. He heals me. He ransoms me from hell. He surrounds me with loving kindness and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like the eagles! He gives justice to all who are treated unfairly. He revealed his will and nature to Moses and the people of Israel.
He is merciful and tender towards those who don’t deserve it; he is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love. He never bears a grudge, nor remains angry forever. He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins, for his mercy towards those who fear and honor him is a great as the height of the heavens above the hearth. He has removed our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. For he knows we are but dust, and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, blown by the wind and gone forever.
But the loving kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to every lasting, to those who reverence him; his salvation is to children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant and remember to obey him!
The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything there is. Bless the Lord you mighty angels of his who carry out your orders, listening for each of his commands. Yes, bless the Lord, you armies of hi angels who serve his constantly.
Let everything everywhere bless the Lord. And how I bless him too!
Sam’s Response
Renewed By God..
What does that mean?
God promises that when you turn away from Sin and come to him, he will make all things new.
God’s touch upon people’s lives brings forth a power that is above all earthly power.
As it is stated in Romans 8:2 For the Power of the Life-giving Spirit—and this power is mine through Christ Jesus—has freed me from the vicious circle of sin and death.
Freedom is a word that is used often in our society. Freedom does not come cheap.
War’s are fought to preserve freedom.
People die to preserve Freedom.
Sacrifices are made to preserve freedom.
God sacrificed Jesus so we could experience freedom.
The freedom in Christ is above all freedoms you could possibly experience in this world.
Being Renewed by God for some comes instantly, for others it is an ongoing renewing. I have found for me that this renewing is an ongoing process.
God continues to refine me in the fire. Each time I come out of the fire stronger and with a growing longing to be in the presence of God.
No longer can I sin and not feel the prick inside of me that this is not right. I have been renewed and restored.
Because sin has become so pervasive today, I believe that it can be tougher for people to accept the message of salvation and the command of God to obey.
Even though this may be the case, nothing is impossible through the power of Christ.
You can too experience a freedom that is unstoppable…
The question is, will you look for freedom within what this world offers or will you seek freedom through Christ?
