You have misunderstood what he was saying, he was saying that if a lot of christians were more honest during their worship we would see that its not really God that they are worshipping, but themselves, or worshipping for their own gain not to worship God because he is worthy
Surely that’s being honest ABOUT worship, not DURING worship, and even so who are you to say they aren’t blindly worshipping someone (or something) that probably doesn’t exist?
Most christians are self-righteous, yes, but also most of them believe they are worshipping God and most of them are trying to do just that when they sing.
Such is the modern church, as the true gospel is replaced, so is true worship!! Great video and a wake up call to all Christians caught up in the doctrine of Rick Warren, Joel Osteen etc. etc.
This is so funny and so true!
is that Elvis Costello playing the piano? I didn’t know he was a christian!
Mate, “so-called” worship in church is just that. Worship. It’s worship of God. And what do you mean more honest? How can worship be honest? Worship is saying how good something is, so you’re saying to be more honest one should become arrogant? Hmm… please go down to the 99c store and buy yourself a brain. Might come in handy at some point.
Anyway fantastic parody, very funny from both a christian and a non-christian perspective.
Or when we space out and just are singing words and don’t know what we are singing at all. We become like robots. sometimes i know i can switch up words and no one would realize or put things together cause we are all in robot mode. what we say is really important..it does hit hard though. I think we are all guilty of this.
dude…that hit me hard… i understand what the video was saying…i have been guilty of doing that… in the middle of worship… while leading worship on stage sometimes i look at the crowd and i say… boy i am doing a good job… my voice sounds so good… my gutiar is great… and i am so glad i picked this song… sometimes even us worship directors can get cought up in ME WORSHIP…
i bloody love this, although nearly sang “I exalt me” in a worship time the other day, sure…
