One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son for you to heal—he can’t talk because he is possessed by a demon. And whenever the demon is in control of him it dashes him to the ground and makes him foam at the mouth and grind his teeth and become rigid. So I begged your disciples to cast out the demon, but they couldn’t do it.”

Jesus said to his disciples, “Oh what tiny faith you have; how much longer must I be with you until you believe? How much longer must I be patient with you? Bring the boy to me.”

So they brought the boy, but when he saw Jesus the demon convulsed the child horribly, and he fell to the ground writhing and foaming at the mouth.

“How long has he been this way?” Jesus asked the father.

And he replied, “Since he was very small, and the demon often makes him fall into the fire or into the water to kill him. Oh, have mercy on us and do something if you can.”

“If I can?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if you have faith.”

The father instantly replied, “I do have faith; oh help me to have more!”

When Jesus saw the crown was growing he rebuked the demon.

“O demon of deafness and dumbness,” he said, “I command you to come out of this child and enter him no more!”

Then the demon screamed terribly and convulsed the boy again and left him; and the boy lay there limp and motionless, to all appearance dead. A murmur rand through the crowd—”He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feed and he stood up and was all right! Afterwards, when Jesus was alone in the house with his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast the demon out?”

Jesus replied, “Cases like this require prayer.”

Sam’s Response

There is one demand upon your life to live eternally.

Just Believe.

The fight is on for our souls and this world is offering up quite a dose of lies and trickery to take YOU away from God.

The question of who is in and going to hell can be summed up and made really simple. Those who do not believe in God are called unbelievers and they will go to hell.

These are harsh words but they speak the truth.

Hebrews 10:39 says “But we have never turned out backs on God and sealed our fate. No, our faith is him assures our souls’ salvation.

You have a choice to make, either move towards God and embrace the Word of God or turn you back and move away from God and Give up eternal life.

We are here for a very brief time, and in this time our life is a series of tests and trials that are put before us. Nothing is Random in God. The hardships we face, the attacks that come are all part of our faith.

You can embrace God or Turn your back.

The power of the living Christ within us is greater than the power of this world, if we only believe.

Many will never come to Christ, that is already been foretold in the scripture, and it is also told that many Christians will fall away in the final days. They will follow false teachings and be lured away from Jesus by false prophets.

The time is coming and the signs are here already that persecution of Christians is increasing.

I feel that we are very close to seeing a Global movement towards a one world faith that will be accepted. If you don’t accept it and speak out against it, then you will be persecuted.

Even my site, the Word of God Online may be banished from the Internet at some time in the very near future.

This is coming and God has told us already what to expect. We are to be ready and 2009 Is the year of getting ready and preparing for what is to come.

Remember, he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.

The father above in today’s reading came to Jesus for the healing of his son. Jesus had spent a lot of time pouring into the disciples to help them increase their faith, and in the above scripture, Jesus seems to be a bit annoyed that the disciples faith was still so small that they were unable to free this fathers boy from this particular demon.

The affliction above appears to be Epilepsy. I find it very interesting that Jesus told the disciples that this particular demon requires Prayer.

To prevent from Going to hell, you must believe and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior…You must believe in the Word of God…You must surrender your desires and wills and replace them with the Word of God.

It is a choice all of us have to make. You will either choose to believe, or choose not to believe.

You will either Choose Hell, or Choose Heaven.

Through Grace and Mercy, I hope you choose Heaven.

May Peace be with you!
