Then the officer said, sir, I am not worthy to have you in my home; [and it isn't necessary for you to come]. If you only stand here and say, Be healed, my servant will get well. I know, because I am under the authority of my superior officers and I have authority over my soldiers, and I say to one, go and he goes, and to another, Come, and he comes, and to my slave boy do this or that, and he does it. And I know you have authority to tell his sickness to go — and it will go!

Jesus stood their amazed. Turning to the crowd he said, I haven’t seen faith like this in all the land of Israel! And I tell you this, that many Gentiles [like this Romans officer], shall come from all over the world and sit down in the kingdom of heaven with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And many in Israeli — those for whom the kingdom was prepared — shall be cast into outer darkness, into a place of weeping and torment.

Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, go on home what you have believe he has happened! And the boy was healed that same hour.

Sam’s Response

As a Christian who is now walking with the Lord, We can call on the name of Jesus and defeat the enemy. Before acknowledging the Lord as my savior, I was unable to overcome the darkness in my own life.

I had issues with Alcohol and some drug dependency as well. I lived at time to serve myself and my habits. This led me down some dark roads that today I have been delivered from thanks be to God.

There is mighty power within us through the Holy Spirit that allows us to live a much more righteous life. It is a place of peace, love, grace and mercy.
The scriptures say in Mark 11:24, “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Our God is a God who restores lives. There is a transformation that occurs that causes you to no longer desire the things of this world that are full of sin and destruction. It never ceases to amaze me to see the deep sin lifted off of people’s shoulders when they surrender to Jesus and lay it all down at the cross.

The Roman officer above Amazed Jesus with his faith. The Roman soldier said, “I know you have authority to tell his sickness to go–and it will go.

When we believe completely and come to a place where we know the Power of the name of Jesus, and it is imprinted on our hearts, then we can be assured that all things are possible and nothing can stop that kind of believe. Satan can be defeated everytime, but not by what we see or what we do, but by trusting God and longing to know him and longing daily to walk with Jesus everywhere we go.

Lord, I praise your Holy Name! I turn to you for my answers. I will turn to your word to see how to walk this thing out. Daily, I will remember what Jesus did and look to do your bidding while I am here. I pray that you will rise up others who are listening to this and move from sin into your light. Surround us Lord and keep the enemy away. By ourselves we can not do this, but with Jesus in the center of our lives, we too can walk in the same authority that Christ has. Not by our own doing, but by invoking the name of Jesus over every circumstance in our lives.
