I know, O Lord, That your decisions are right and that your punishment was right and did me good.  Now let your loving kindness comfort me, just as you promised.  So around me with your tender mercies, that I may live.  For your law is my delight.

Let proud be disgraced, but they have cut me down with all their lies.  But I will concentrate my thoughts upon your laws.

Let all others join me, who trust in fear you, and we will discuss your laws.  Help me to love your every wish; then I will never have to be ashamed of myself.

I think for your salvation; but I expect your help, for you have promised that.  My eyes are straining to see your promises come true.  Many will you comfort me with your help?

I am shriveled like the wineskins in the smoke, exhausted with waiting.  But still I cling to your laws and obey them.  How long must I wait before you punish those who persecute me?  These proud men who hate your truth and laws have dug deep pits for me to fall in.  They are lies.  Help me, for you love only truth.

They had almost finished me off, I refused to yield and disobey your laws.  In your kindness spare my life; then I can continue to obey you.

Forever, O Lord, you are word stands firm in heaven your faithfulness extends to every generation, like the earth you create a; it into words by your degree, and everything serves your plans.

I would have despaired and perished unless your laws had been my deepest delight.  I will never lay aside your laws, for you and used them to restore my joy and health.

Sam’s response

We are living in a time where persecution across the globe is occurring to Christians.

As a Christian, they are going to be times when you are moving forward in your faith, that you will be persecuted.  The Devil does not want effective Christians.  The Devil doesn’t really care about those who are lukewarm in their faith.

This persecution can even come within your own household.  I had to deal with this myself when I came to Christ.  Before I came to Christ I was different.  Christ changed me as a person from the inside out.  When this transformation started to take place by decision-making process also started to change, and my son did not like it and rebelled.  So that even in your own household you may be persecuted for your faith.  This can be very difficult to deal with.

As we move closer to the time when Jesus Christ is coming back the increasing persecution has already been foretold in the Scriptures.  It is also told those who are lukewarm will be spit out and Jesus will say I don’t know you.

Satan will do everything he can to try to stop you from becoming a powerful Christian.  In Mark 16: 17 – 18, it says “and those who believe shall use my authority to cast out demons, and they shall speak new languages.  They will even be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it will not hurt them, and they will be able to cleanse their hands on the sick and healed them.

So we come under persecution, rejoice in the Lord!  God will be with you and raise you up  when you persecuted, so do not be afraid.
