Scripture verse of the day Matthew 8:3
Jesus touches the man. I want to, he said; be healed. And instantly the each leprosy disappears.
Scripture reading of the day
Mark 1:28 – 45
The news of what he had done spread quickly through the entire area of Galilee.
Then, leaving the synagogue he and his disciples went over to Simon and Andrew’s home, where they found Simon’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away. He went to her bedside, and as he took her by the hand and helped her to sit up, the fever suddenly left and she got up and prepared a meal for them.
By sunset the courtyard was filled with the sick and demon possessed, brought to him for healing; and a huge crowd of people from all over the city of Capernaum gathered outside the door to watch. Jesus healed great numbers of sick folks that evening and ordered many demons to come out of their victims. (But he refused to allow the demon speak, is they knew who he was)
The next morning he was not long before daybreak and when alone into the wilderness to pray.
Later, Simon and the others went out to find him, and told him, everyone is asking for you
But he replied, we must go on to other towns as well and give my message to them to, for that is why I came.
So he traveled throughout the province of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and releasing many from the power of demons. Once a leper came and knelt in front of him and begged to be healed. If you want to you can make me well again, he pleaded
Jesus, moved with pity, touched him and said, I want to. He healed! Immediately the leprosy was gone – the man was healed.
Jesus told him sternly, go and be examined immediately by the Jewish priests. Don’t stop to speak to anyone along the way. Take along the offering prescribed by Moses for a leper who was healed, so that everyone will have proof that you are well again.
But as the man went on his way he began to shout the good news that he was healed; as a result, such crowds soon surrounded Jesus that he could not publicly enter a city anywhere, but he had to stay out in the barren wasteland. And people from everywhere Came to him there.
Sam’s Response
Jesus the mighty healer.
Jesus, is God on earth as a man.
Why are not more people healed?
Lack of Faith!
Lack of asking!
Lack of Claiming the Authority and Power invoked by the name of Jesus.
We all need to step up our faith and allow Jesus to reign within us. Jesus wants us to all move up the ladder of faith. Jesus wants to do greater things through each of us.
Ask Jesus for anything in alignment of the Scriptures and the Word of God and ask with unwavering faith.
We see in this story above Jesus healed a Leper, which is like the absolute worst sickness someone could have in this era. Lepers were outcast by the communities and were considered unclean. No one could or would touch a leper.
I think it is amazing to read above and see that when Jesus came down off the mountain he was facing a huge crowd, yet Jesus was on a mission to find this Leper and heal him.
The Leper’s heart was right and full of faith. Regardless of what he saw in the flesh, he knew if Jesus was willing that he could heal him. And Jesus is more than willing to heal us if we ask in faith.
In Mark 9:23 it says All things are possible if you will only believe.
What a statement!
ALL…not some…All.
In the name of Jesus, we believe and claim NOW that All Things are Possible and it is not an if we believe, but WE do believe.
