Welcome to the word of God online daily Bible study

July 25, 2009.

Scripture readings come from the living Bible.

Scripture verse of the day is second Chronicles 30:8
do not be stubborn, as they were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his temple which he has sanctified forever, and worship the Lord your God so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

Scripture reading of the day John 15:1 — 14
“I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener. He lops off every branch that doesn’t produce. Any prunes those branches that bear fruit for even larger crops. He has already attended you by protein you back for greater strength and usefulness by means of the commands I gave you. Take care to live in me, and let me live in you. Or a branch Produce fruit when severed from the vine.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For from me you can’t do a thing. If anyone separates from me, just thrown away like a useless branch, whether his, and is gathered into an aisle with all the others and burned.

But if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted. My true disciples produce bountiful harvest!. This brings great glory to my father.

“I have loved you, even as the father has loved me. Live within my love. When you obey me you are living in my love, just as I obey my father and live in his love. I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow! I demand that you love each other as much as I love you. And here’s how to measure it — the greatest love is shown when the person lays down his life for his friends; and you are my friends if you obey me.

Sam’s response

there can be no buts in your attitude when it comes to the word of God. If is called you, then you must yield and yield and yield until you come to the end of yourself and you are filled with Christ.

Yielding to God means coming to the end of who you are. There will be a new power that comes from God, and enters you.

Satan does not want you to have this power. When you come to the place where you have yielded everything to God. He will fill you with an unstoppable power that Satan can’t touch.

When I first became a Christian. There was a song that really grabbed me . All the powers of darkness cannot stand against God. They will tremble at every word that comes from the word of God. I’m going to that song downloaded really like you listen to it in stand up and worship God Right now and let them know that this power is welcomed in your life.

Welcome to the word of God online

July 23, 2009

Scripture verse of the day: acts 19:11.

And God gave Paul the power to do unusual miracles.

Scripture reading of the day: Matthew 16:24 — 27; Luke 14:27 — 35.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, (if anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For anyone who keeps his life for himself shall lose it; and anyone who loses his life for me shall find it again. What profit is there if you gain the whole world — and lose eternal life? What can be compared with the value of eternal life? For I, the son of man kind, shall come with my angels in the glory of my father and judge each person according to his deeds.

Luke 14:27 — 35 and no one can be my disciple, who does not carry his own cross and follow me.

But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first getting estimates, and then checking to see if he has enough money to pay the bills? Otherwise he might complete only the foundation before running out of funds. And then how everyone would laugh!

“‘See that fellow there?’ They would mock. He started that building and ran out of money before it was finished!’

“Or what King would ever dream of going to war without first sitting down with his counselors. In discussing whether his army of 10,000 strong enough to defeat the 20,000 men who are marching against him? If the decision is negative, then while the enemy troops are still far away, he will send the truce team to discuss terms of peace.

“So no one can become my disciple unless he first sits down and counts his blessings — and then renounces them all for me!

“What good is all that is lost in saltiness? Flavorless salt is fit for nothing — not even fertilizer. It is worthless and must be thrown out. Listen well, if you would understand my meaning.”

Scripture readings are from the Living  Bible.

Sam’s response.

Paul asked in acts 9:6 — what do you want me to do?

So what does God want us to do? God wants us to yield and yield and yield some more to his will. We must lay down what we want and pick up our cross and walk the path that Jesus is laid out for us.

Our faith is not obtained by struggling and working in longing. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 — come to me, all you who are labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

I don’t think many of us really understand the cost or have counted this cost, and the price that Jesus paid on the cross. As Jesus pointed out in the above scripture he was talking about the counting the cost. If you’re going to construct a building. They would be silly to not fully understand the costs involved can only get the foundation done and run out of money.

There is a cost to our Christianity. This cost is giving up what we want in taking on what God wants us to do. If you will ask him . He will let you know what he wants from you. The number one thing that God wants is to be loved. One of the commandments is to love God with all your heart with all your mind and with all your soul and to love others as you love God.

Love is the leading indicator of who God is. For God so loved the world that he gave…

most likely we will not always know what God is up to and what he wants us to do, but if we are willing to listen and be still. We might just hear and be directed by the Holy Spirit on what God does want us to do.

Here at the word of God online, I have not been keeping up with my daily postings. Things have gotten busy, I also suffered an attack on this site, but mostly, I have just not put God first in my day.

There is nothing more important than finding out what God wants us to do. One of the ways we are going to find that is by spending time in his presence on a daily basis and letting him be our guide in yielding to what he wants us to do. If we are too busy to listen, if we are too busy in our work, then how are we supposed to know what God wants us to do.

It begins with a relationship and a priority of putting God first in our life. I think a lot of us Christians struggle with this on a day-to-day basis, and it is easy to get away from the word, and to forget to ask God to direct our life.

The awesome thing is is that we have an amazing God, who is full of forgiveness and love. We can always come back into the presence of God, and he will openly spread his arms and say welcome back.

Thank you God for being such a loving God. Thank you Lord for all that you have in store for me today., May you open my heart and my mind and my soul to all that you have and all the goodness that you’re ready to pour into my life today. I’m sorry that I have not been as attentive to you and have pushed the priority of reading my daily Scriptures every day onto the back burner of my life. God, there is nothing greater than the relationship I have with you. Help me to CQ daily, Lord can trust you with everything I have and that you are working everything for the good. Regardless of what I see or hear, I know you are a forgiving and loving God that loves people and desires to have a relationship with each and every one of us. Amen

Daily Scripture Verse of the Day. is Colossians 4:6 From The Living Bible

Let your conversation be gracious as well as sensible for then you will have the right answers for everyone.

Daily Scripture reading for the day – James 3

Dear brothers, do not be too eagar to tell others their faults, for we all make many mistakes; and when we teachers, who should know better, do wrong, our punishment will be greater than i t would be for others.

If anyone can control his tongue, it proves that he has perfect control over himself in every other way. We can make a large hose turn around and go wherever we want by means of a small bit in his mouth.

And a tiny rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot wants it to go, even though the winds are strong.

Welcome to the Word of God online

Today is July 8, 2009

Today’s Bible reading is from the living Bible and we will be reading Psalms 85:7 — 86:13

Pour out your love and kindness on us, Lord, and grant us your salvation.

I’m listening carefully to all the Lord is saying — for he speaks peace to his people, his saints, if they will only stop their sinning.  Surely his salvation is near those reverence and; our land will be filled with his glory.

Mercy and truth have met together.  Grim justice and peace have kissed!  Truth rises from the earth and righteousness smiles down from heaven.

Yes, Lord pours down his blessings on the LAN and it yields its bountiful crops.  Justice goes before him to make a pathway for his steps.

Psalms 86

Bend down and hear my prayer, oh Lord, and answer me, for I am in deep trouble.

Protect me from death, for I try to follow all your laws.  Save me, for I am serving you and trusting you.  Be merciful, O lord, for I am looking up to you in constant hope.  Give me happiness, O lord, for I worship only you.  Oh Lord, you are so good and kind, so ready to forgive; so full of mercy for all who ask your aid.

Listen closely to my prayer, oh God.  Hear my urgent cry, I will call to you whenever trouble strikes, and you will help me.

Where among the heathen gods is there a God like you?  Where are their miracles?  All the nations — and you made each 1 — will come in file before you, Lord, and praise your great and holy name.  For you are great, and do great miracles.  You alone are God.

Tell me where you want me to go and I will go there, may every fiber of my being united in reference to your name.  With all my heart I will praise you.  I will give you glory to your name forever, for you love me so much!  You are constantly so kind!  You have rescued me from deepest hell.

Sam’s Response

it says in the Bible we are to thirst for God. We are to live in holiness just as Jesus did when he was here walking among us.

Today when I look at the world there is so much that is upside down.  So much that is wrong that has now become right, so much sin that is now become standard and okay.

If we are born to see God move in a big way, then as Christians, we must develop a holiness and a burning hunger for the Word of God and be willing to share the good others, regardless of what the world says.

In our local church, our pastor, is dedicated to the redemptive revival of our state.  The state of Maine is very much liberal minded.  This will be no small task of my pastor believes it can be done.  It is great that he understands that for this to happen we must embrace the current technology and look for new ways to share the Word of God with people.

Before that happens, new leaders and people must be trained in holiness and righteousness to be able to help pastor all the new people but will find the Word of God as the truth in their life.

So we must thirst for the Word of God and be prepared to fill the calling a God has for each one of us on our lives.

The Word of God Online Presents Today’s Daily Bible Reading and Reflection

1 Peter 5

Versus 1-11

And Now, a word to you elders of the church. I, too, am an elder; with my own eyes I saw Christ dying on the cross; and I , too. will share his glory and his honor when he returns.

Fellow elders, this is my plea to you: Feed the flock of God; care for it willingly, not grudgingly; not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve the Lord. Don’t be tyrants, but lead them by your good example, and when the Head shepherd comes, your reward will be a never-ending share in his glory and honor.
