I was watching the news tonight before bed, and could not help but feel we are moving closer to the end times. Repeatedly over the last month there has been epic disasters that continue to be explained by phrases, “I have need seen _____ like this before. I have lived here all my life and I have never seen a ________ like this.”
In the Northeast in the month of March we have been hit with massive rainstorms that have been devastating. In North Dakota, there was a MASSIVE flood. Here in the Northeast, including New York, Boston, Maine and especially hard hit Rhode Island, there has been horrific flooding everywhere.
The Earthquake in Haiti now 11 weeks out, have totally devastated this already destitute country. Rubble remains everywhere, and I was just reading this from the Editorial Section of the New York Times
Haiti’s Misery
Published: March 25, 2010The emergency in Haiti isn’t over. It’s getting worse, as the outside world’s attention fades away.
Misery rages like a fever in the hundreds of camps sheltering hundreds of thousands of the 1.3 million people left homeless by the Jan. 12 earthquake. The dreaded rains have already swamped tents and ragged stick-and-tarp huts. They have turned walkways into mud lakes and made difficult or impossible the simple acts of collecting and cooking food, washing clothes, staying clean and avoiding disease. The rainy season peaks in May.
Worsening the weather crisis are the unchecked sexual assaults and rapes in the camps, where families are squeezed side by side in flimsy quarters and women and girls are left unprotected after dark.
A new report from Amnesty International affirms that security is inadequate, that police and soldiers are often missing, that every nightfall brings terror. Victims stay silent because rapists go uncaught and unpunished; what little policing exists is focused on other priorities.
Jesus said in the Bible that the weather events and disasters would increase. How can we deny this truth? How can we say that the end times are NOT upon us?
It seems clear from the perspective of the bible. All around the world there are many horrific events happening more than ever.
Also it is clear that the persecution of the Christian church and the ongoing sex scandals in the Catholic Church are pushing more and more from their faith.
In Matthew 24 from the living bible it states starting in Verse 7 “The nations and kingdoms of the earth shall rise up against each other and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places. But all of this will only be the beginnings of the horrors to come. Then you will be tortured, killed and hated all over the world because you are mine, and many of you will fall back into sin and betray and hate each other.

Police in Pakistan’s province of Punjab have launched an investigation into reports that Muslim extremists killed a Christian for refusing to convert to Christianity. It comes at a time when Christians in the region are also prosecuted for alleged blasphemy against Islam.
Rasheed Masih, 36, was allegedly murdered on March 9 by six Muslims with at least one axe in Punjab’s Khanewal district. Local Christians said the suspects are rival merchants who objected to Masih’s potato business and his devotion to Christianity.
The Birth pangs are here. No one knows the exact date, but we are to be vigilant and ready. The Day draws near to the glorious appearance of our Lord.
