WORD OF GOD ONLINE
Daily Bible Study for April 29th 2009

Daily Scripture Verse of the day is Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Scripture reading of the day is Psalm 23

Because the lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. he restores my failing health. He helps me do what honors him the most.

Even when walking through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.

You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!

Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterward I will live with you forever in your home.

Sam’s Response

There are many promises that God makes in the above scripture. This is one of the most well know Psalms of all time.

I love the line, because the Lord is my shepherd,i have everything I need. When we are in God’s hands he is able to do so much in and through us if we let him have his way.

There are times of rest we need to invest in to nourish our souls and spirit. The fight we have to fight is a constant battle that each day we face. We all have loved ones, family members, and friends who are unsaved. In Matthew 5;4, that is what this mourning is talking about. There must be a longing, and yearning of our spirit that is willing to constantly pray and call forth the waring angels of heaven to do battle for those that are lost. We are to stand in the gap. We are to mourn over and for those lost souls.

The beauty is that right after we mourn, we shall be comforted as well.

In today’s devotion from Smith Wigglesworth, it says “God’s heart is in the place of intense passion. Let us bend or break for God is determined to bless us. Oh, the Joy of service and the joy of suffering.” then a bit later Smith Wigglesworth goes on to say…”There must me no coming down form the cross but a going on from faith to faith and from Glory to glory with an increasing dilegence so that we my be found in him “without spot and blameless (2 Peter 3:14

Scripture versus and readings are from the living Bible

April 28, 2009

Scripture verse of the day Matthew 5:4 those who mourn are fortunate! For they shall be comforted.

Scripture reading of the day 1Corinthians 15: 51 — 57; 1Thessalonians 4:13 — 18

But I am telling you this strange and wonderful secret: we shall not all die, we shall all be given new bodies! It will all happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye when the last trumpet is blown. For there will be a trumpet blast from the sky and all the Christians who have died will suddenly become alive with new bodies that will never never die; and then we who are still alive shall suddenly have new bodies too for our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into heavenly bodies that cannot perish but will live forever.

God Has An Unlimited Supply and All That God Has is Mine

Today April 27t h 2009 Daily Bible Reading

From The Living Bible

Part 2 of Psalms 37

From Smith WigglesWorth’s Daily Devotion  ” He comes to enrapture our souls, to break every bond of mere human affection and replace in us the divine instead of the earthly, the pure instead of the unholy, the eyes of faith that see God Instead of the unholy, the eyes of faith that see God instead of human feelings. The Divine Son of God is to be in us, mightily moving through us, as we cease to be. This poverty of spirit spoken of in this Beatitude helps us.

God’s unlimited supply is available to each and everyone of us if we only believe. When we come to a place where we feast on the Word of God instead of Easy Mac and Cheese, we will see God move mightily in our lives. There is not end to God’s abounding grace and love for you and I.

He gave his son because he loved YOU. He did not want to see you perish but to have everlasting life that comes for the life giving spring of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Do not think that you have lack…You have all you need with God no matter WHAT your human eyes see. Look beyond your circumstance and see the Glory of God that rises above it all.

Let the Glory of the Lord Rise Among US

For Theirs is The Kingdom Of Heaven

Blessed are the Poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.

The wealth of this earth is temporary as our real riches for those who believe are in heaven.

We work and work and work down here trying to “get ahead” and buy the “finer things” of life. But all the houses and cars and t.v.’s and computers and cell phones and furniture and all the stuff we hold onto here is very short termed. Many people get caught up in attaining wealth here on earth that they will tromp over others to get it. We have all seen over the past several years the issues with greed rearing its ugly head through crashes like Enron.

Those that exploit others will be judged by God on that final day.

What is the sense of wealth here if it comes at the expense of hurting others?

Many people often mis-interpret the Bible and think that to be a Christian means we have to be poor. Many people mis-interpret the Bible where it says…”the root of evil is the love of money!”  It is not the money that is the problem. God has and will continue to rise up wealth warriors for his kingdom. It is the “LOVE” of money. It is putting money BEFORE God that is an issue. It is the explotation of others to gain money that is evil.

Now we can argue what is explotation all we want and I have had this discussion with others, but ultimately if you are a Christian, the spirit will let you know when you are moving towards explotation. That is the cool thing about being a Christian. When sin enters into your life, the holy spirit will convict you and quicken your spirit to let you know that you are heading in the wrong direction.

As the scripture reading of the day says…”It is better to have little and be godly than to own an evil man’s wealth.”

Do not mis-interpret the scripture about money. The word of GOd says he will bless us in all ways…this includes finances. I believe God wants each of us to have an abundance.

So why don’t many?

I believe God withholds it because he knows if we have abundance finances that it will destroy us and take us away from God. It is only when you are “sold out” for the Lord and your spirit is one of giving and using the excess to further God’s Kingdom, that he will pour out this excess.

I truly believe I will have an abundance when the time is right, when I am right inside about how to handle money.

Are You Facing Difficulties in Your Life?

We all face trials and difficulties that can totally consume us and bring us to a very dark and brokenplace. I have faced many of these thorugh my life and the tests do not stop coming. For the longest time I dealt with them with Alcohol and despair.

Then I met Jesus

Then I found a NEW way to deal with these difficulties that has allowed me to grow and walk through these situations NOT on my own but trusting God and allowing him to carry me through.

The more I pour over the Word of God the easier it becomes to deal with these situations that come up. Why is that? I am NOT relying on my wisdom to get through theses tests. I allow my faith in Jesus to show me the truth. I find the truth in the Word of God.

As soon as  I slip away from the Word of God and begin trying to do things on my own, I quickly find out that I can be led astray quickly.

Throughout my walk with God, I am learning more and more each day to trust God with everything in my life. His will is perfect and will be brough to completion.

To be fully used by God we must come to a place where our faith is unwavering by the events going on around us. Easier said then done.

So if you are facing difficulties in your life today, I ask that you Give God A Chance. Turn to his word…Get down on your knees and ask for guideance. Trust God to carry you through the difficulties and most of all, learn to praise god in the middle of the storm. When you can do this, you will find peace and joy that can only be found in Christ.

Which Path Will You Take?

But the Good Man Walks along in the ever-brightening light of God’s Favor.

I believe all of us will face a day on our brief time here on earth where we will be faced to make a decision at a junction in the road. This decision is Faith. What we will believe.

If you turn down the wrong path, God will continue to pursue you. You are his creation and he loves you just as you are.

But, at some point in your life, you will come face to face with difficulties that ONLY God can mend and take you through. To go this alone is brutal. I know because I spent a good chunk of my adult life NOT walking with God. This cost me dearly, but the funny thing is, GOD never let me go. He was right there wooing me and willing to accept me and all my sin when I was ready.

One of my favorite Bible stories is the turning and pursuing of God that Jacob has at the River. All night long he wrestled “with a man” and refused to give up. God met Jacob there that night and a great transformation took place. Jacob was relieved of all his past sin and was able to walk forward the next day full of faith and love. It is a great story. It is a story where Jacob had to decide on Which path he would take. Jacob chose wisely and walked out the rest of his life pursuing God.

Which Path will you take? Have you come to a junction in the road and don’t know which way to turn? Then seek the word of god to find your answers. Seek someone who knows God and ask them some questions.

You will have to make a choice…God or Not God.

The song below is about God never letting Go by Matt Redman.

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, everything about us changes. This can be very difficult for those around us as they may not understand what is happening or they even may rebel as we begin to transformation process from of this world to of God.

This process is ongoing and is a daily infilling of the Word of God and of The Spirit of God. We must not put down the weapons of warfare that we read about in ephesians 6. Our best weapon of warfare is the “Sword of the Spirit” which is the Word of God.

To be equipped is to put on the full armor of God.

If we do not put on this armor daily, we will not be able to stand the attacks of the devil, and we will not be as effective for God as we could be.
